Our Story

We bet you've never worked with a 'real' accountant before!

Formed in 1983, our practice started in Edmonton, Alberta and moved to Burnaby, B.C. in 1992. We have grown to an organization that helps real estate investors (40% of our client base), business owners (30% of our client base) and professionals (30% of our client base). Our clients are spread out across Canada but mainly reside in Alberta, BC and Ontario.

In addition to our accounting practice, we have grown from owning single-family homes to a real estate portfolio with multi-family buildings (that we developed with joint venture partners). We've had our ups and downs and learned the hard way,thank God for taking a long term approach, we overcome them. Having learned from those real practical experiences we are able to use them to help our clients benefit from minimized taxes and more free time to focus on the day-to-day running of their business.

Being a real owner operated business ourselves, we can help you analyze your challenges based on your goals and offer you a choice of approaches, and then it's over to you. One thing you can always be sure of is that we really are on your side.

We are easy to do business with and on your side all the way, whether it's choosing simple accounting systems, personal and corporate tax preparation, gathering data or complex corporate tax reorganizations, we can help. We deal with taxation, simplifying paperwork and administrative issues and take the approach that we are general practitioners and can deal with 80% of all issues that come our way. If we get into complex reorganizations, we work with a team of legal counsel and specialists in your area of need.

We are a paperless office that deals with clients across the Country. We believe that clients require 2 types of services - Compliance and Advisory services. Our compliance side of the practice is systemized as 80% of the work needs to be done the same way so that you do not miss deductions. The advisory side of the service is when you need your questions answered. We encourage clients to ask question prior to getting into a transaction by sending us e-mails so that you can make an informed decision the first time.
